Of closing ceremonies and the pix we couldn't resist

Backing paper, glue sticks, A4 white paper have all been bought. Artist statements and portraits are done to everybody's satisfaction. The group photos have been taken and taken again. The students mount their photos, caption them (some English, mostly Burmese), With the help of a hammer and some press pins, the show is up! Guests are invited for 4:30 pm on Saturday, Feb. 20. Biscuits and a very green punch are served. The big moment arrives; each student receives a certificate, a CD of his/her photos, and a Canada pin to much laughter and applause. The pin causes some confusion at first; is it an earring? a paper fastener? Oh, Canada!
